Happy Birthday Wolfgang Mozart

Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart

(January 27, 1756-December 5, 1791)

Joining all Mozart lovers in celebrating the wunderkind‘s birthday , January 27. I’ve stopped counting his age after he turned 250.

This site especially dedicated to him, provides numerous links of my articles about or related to Mozart. Help yourselves dear friends and visitors, and enjoy reflective moments in remembering Wolfgang Mozart’s life and music.

One of my earliest inspired Mozart piece was writtern six years ago -  That’s Mozart to Me!

Mozart’s Geburtshaus 9#9 Getreidegasse, Salzburg

It is at #9 Getreidegasse, Salzburg, on the third floor of this tall house where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27, 1756.  Then, it was owned by a family friend, one Johann Lorenz Hagenauer. The family lived on this floor when they were not on tour, from 1747 to 1773.   And no, we are not allowed to take pictures inside.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart displayed his supreme genius when he was only 3 years old – a true child prodigy.

This year, I’d like to feature Mozart’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra #27:

Happy Birthday Mozart!

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Gebuststag Mozart!

(That image of Mozart’s has always been a favourite. Thanks, karadar.com. I took a shot of Getreidegasse #9, July 3007, a most memorable moment, and a thousand and one more memories. )

Note: This post was originally posted two years ago, and I’ve updated for his birthday today, 2012.
